Mechanics Concept


Core mechanic is to be able to jump on the spots where you last failed:

Very clunky controls but the basic mechanics is there. The idea is to fail and to spawn a dead player at the location you failed and use it in the next life to progress further. Number of dead players are limited 2 at the moment, more felt too game breaking at this early stage. 

Next up I need to add the Goal. I plan to have the world looped around. In other words, I will hint to the player by showing the Goal to the left of where the player starts the level. But the only way the to get there is to move in the opposite direction, to the right (and failing a few times in the process).

When that is implemented the core gameplay will be done, just need to add the sound and background music and the super simple prototype will be finished. Then the process of testing, polishing and iterating can begin.
